In the United States, the permission to world as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered nurse, can only be offered to you, if you appear and pass the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN) developed and administered NCLEX Exam (the National Council Licensure Examination) for LPN and RN Licensure.
Therefore, when a candidate appears in the NCLEX exam, the waiting for the pass or fails NCLEX exam result is the most anxious moment in the life of the students because, the result plays an important part in their career goal and the outcome is the answer to their effort. The Pass Result will start your professional nursing career and failure will make you retest to pass the NCLEX exam again and if you are still unsuccessful, your employments goal in the health care field will just fades away.
The NCLEX exam is administered in a computerized adaptive testing (CAT) format in the Pearson Vue testing centers throughout the United States and few internationally located sites, where immediate decision is made by the computer technology about the correct and incorrect answers by measuring the exact competency level of the candidate. Once, the results are verified through the computer, the next verification is done by the Pearson Vue, where they are then passed on. The final results are then transmitted electronically or by mail to the state board of nursing who release them to the candidates who have appeared in the NCLEX test and applied for the Licensure from the Nursing Board.

The unofficial NCLEX results are made available to candidates within 48 business hours or two business days after taking their examination, once the appointment date is scheduled. Many states Board of nursing are participants in this system such as Alaska, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Utah, Vermont, Louisiana-RN, Maryland, Michigan, West Virginia-PN, Wisconsin, Wyoming, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virgin Islands (Web only), Washington and other states.

Pearson VUE Web
The charges for Quick Results Service option through web system is $7.95 payable by credit card and you are required to submit NCLEX website user name and password for access. Your credit card number must be provided for the charges and billings. If you find it difficult to assess your username and password, you can contact Pearson VUE at 1.866.496.2539.
The telephone: 1.900.776.2539 (1.900.77.NCLEX)
The cost for Quick Result Service via telephone is $9.95, which will appear in your local telephone bill where they will be shown as “NCLEX Exam”. The telephone services are open for 24 x 7 days. If the results are not available then, you will be charged for undertaking the service of telephone.
But, you must also remember that it is only the responsibility of the Board of Nursing to release the official results, where the results released through the Quick Results Service are unofficial results.
